Hello AT, Even though I love the way an eclectically decorated room looks, I tend to be the kind of person who ends up matching everything in a room. I really love our paisley shower curtain that has sage green, light blue, and various natural tones, as well. The decorative accents in our bathroom compliment the shower curtain (all sage green plus some black and white photos). I went out on a limb and bought a plum colored bathroom rug and towels. Have I gone overboard?...

Is the color too bold? Is the new addition to our guest bathroom too "non matchy-matchy?" I'd love your advice! Thanks! Heather Dear Heather, No,you haven't gone overboard in terms of matching, but the towels are very strong, while the other colors are more muted. The conversation is a bit one sided. You definitely need color in this room, however, as the gold is dull without it. We'd leave everything as is and paint the walls of the bathroom in a warmer off-white in order to integrate the whole. What is needed is a third element to bring the two together, to be a bridge, if you will. Anyone else??
