Hello AT,
If there's anywhere I can get answers, it's here. I am considering buying this frozen-in-time 1959 California-style ranch here in Massachusetts. There is an estate sale this week at which I intend on purchasing this freeform wood/glass coffee table.
Can anyone tell me who they think might have manufactured it?
Thanks! Joey

Where in Mass?!?
The base looks a little like this coffee table I inherited from my parents. This company called ModHaus was selling it a few months ago.

Looks like Lane to me -- are there no markings underneath?
What part of Mass? If it's in Western Mass, I must have it!
It looks like Lane to me too! I have seen both round and rectangular Lane tables with a similar cross base.
Who cares who manufactured it. It's great, if you like it and its in good shape buy it.
i grew up with this table in my parent's living room.
i've loved it since i was little.
my mother purchased it at Altman's department store on 5th ave & 34th street in the late 50s.
she doesn't know the manufacturer.
I'm pretty sure it's Lane, as well.
Joey, Machine Age in Boston may know something about your piece as well.
