AT:LA reader Kelly needs some opinions:
I am going to check out this bedroom set tomorrow. Besides the headboard not looking like it matches the set what else should I look for before purchasing it for $250 OBO. Also, what do you all think of the price?

Hi Kelly, generally, we feel that four pieces for $250 seems like a reasonable deal (of course, it wouldn't hurt to try for lower?). Out of the four, we can see great potential for the long dresser and the smaller one, but not sure what you'd do with the corner one and the mismatched headboard. Although maybe if you refinished or painted the corner desk, it could be interesting if you have a space for it. Definitely check the drawers, see if they open or close easily, and if it's stable or if the legs are rickety. The dresser looks like it could use a little sprucing, but it looks like it could clean up quite well. A vintage dresser like that could go for at least $500 alone. What do you guys think? What advice would you give for Kelly?
