Hello AT,
I saw these silver, very low, sawhorse coffee table legs at a store for over $1,000.
Does anyone know where I could get something like this? All of the hardware stores online have sawhorses, but with rubberized legs and they are usually much higher.
Thanks! Jeff

I think IKEA has sawhorse legs. Of course, they're wood and not steel but you could sand and then paint them silver.
Or you could spring a couple hundred, take the design (with your own tweaks, to make them even more perfect for your needs) to a metalworker and have them done in a jiffy.
Seriously, they don't look too complicated for a skilled craftsman.
I have these in a larger size underneath the desk in my office. I got them from ABC Carpet.
Pottery Barn also sold a more slender table sized version of these.
Don't know if either source had or has a coffee table height version.
I think original credit for the chrome-sawhorse-as-desk-leg goes to Ralph Lauren Home.
There is currently a desk-height versions Williams Sonoma Home, around $1000 for two sawhorses and glass top.
Yeah, but I've never come across anythng coffee table height before.
The whole "get a metal worker to do it" is not always as easy (or inexpensive) as it sounds, since the hardest part is finding someone who will appreciate the smaller odd job, and who will do it without drawings. Then, here, to match the look, you'd need to get 'em plated.

I just posted this coffe table base for you in the barter section
on Phila's craiglist.
Did not find a better place to show pictures LOL:).
I 'm not going to barter it, but if this is something you would consider please email me we will probably make a deal
( for much, much les then 1000).
