Hello AT,
I just received the new West Elm holiday catalog. I have quite a few pieces from West Elm and love some of them and hate others for various reasons. But what really caught my eye in the recent catalog is the wall paper in the background of one of the shots.
I am in love with the print and absolutely must have it in my new apartment I am moving into. The print is a silver chain pattern on a white background and almost looks like squares. Where can I find this wallpaper?
Thanks! Nafees

thay have a spectacular collection!
Or take a tip from the Toronto entry (ChrisToronto I think?) in the colours contest. He has a similar type of graphic on his fireplace wall, and he stencilled it. If you have patience it is much cheaper, and perhaps a way to avoid "no wallpaper" rules your landlord may have.
Oops sorry, I didn't mean stencilled, I meant overhead projected, pencilled in, then handpainted. I was distracted as I was writing!
Actually, Angie, this pattern is ripe for stencilling.
Hi-Just found it for you...go to walnutwallpaper.com and look under designers and then Flavor Paper...if this isn't it, it is very close!
I agree P2, stencilling would be a breeze with this one, I just didn't want to "mis-quote" the technique of the TO guy.
I ust got the latest Brocade catalogue, and they sell wallpaper that's similar!
I guess this is the right forum to, again, lament about the lack of U.S. dealers of designer wallpaper. Or, more specifically, dealers of designer wallpaper that sell to the general public. I am sick, sick, sick, sick, sick of these haughty distributors that only deal with "the trade." F*** 'em all! And they apply these exhorbitant markups too!
I have resigned to look into buying my wallpaper directly from the UK. Despite the weak dollar, the prices are very good and the selection is just incredible. Those lucky Brits! However, it remains to be seen what postage will be like. But at least we Yanks don't have to pay the VAT.
Hey Nafees.
After a few quick calls to Williams-Sonoma in San Francisco, I found your prop specialist for that picture and am just waiting on a call back.
I'll post an update shortly once he gets out the photo session.
Hey Nafees,
Sorry it took so long to get back to you (I just heard back today). Your print was actually custom done for the shoot. I am now waiting to hear if it can be recreated with the artwork West Elm owns, so keep your fingers crossed.
Hey Nafees, I have a ton of information for you. If you are serious about this print, please contact me so I can talk to you further about it..
