I am moving and selected some really great navy bedding from Frette for the master bedroom. It is very dark; almost a midnight color. It actually looks great with some black accent pillows and coverlet to fold across the foot of the bed. It may sound strange to some, but it looks beautiful together. My question is what color should I paint the bedroom? White is way too stark with the bedding, but I don't know what neutral will work. I though maybe a light grey, but any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you
I love navy and black together — a sophisticated look. You might try a medium gray like Silver Fox, as it goes with nearly everything. Or take a look at past ColorTherapy posts on dark, dark colors (Mark's favorites!):

I like the medium brown color of the sheet--tobacco maybe? That might be a nice wall color.
Either and soft cream or maybe a soft yellow-orange will pick up the colors in your bedding in the picture
yeah - I would not go with light, I would stay in the dark family. lighter than the sheets, but not a light grey or any color by all means. Play with a stripe or floral accent pillow - just like the picture above. Your wallart will also stand out in a dark wall.
Regarding the dining room table, I can not see a picture of what you like.

Here's my recommendations in reverse order:
Warm charcoal grey
dark chocolate brown
NAVY to match the sheets and show off your accessories.
I'm picturing this with offwhite/white woodwork and curtains.
Charcoal gray or a slate color. Grayish blue.
I'd stay away from light colors, anything that's warm, really. Stick with a shade on the cool side.
I agree, a blue gray would be fab, or Farrow & Ball has a colour called "Blackened" that's white with lamp black added which makes it look like a pale, silvery lavender (it's one the cool side).
Charcoal, gray-blue, or gray-purple.
I like the color of that wall in the picture. Maybe go bit lighter, but I think anything darker, with your dark bedding, would just be way too dark.
Navy black with yellow or orange walls? Eh, I dunno about that one.
You know what looks GORGEOUS with navy blue and black? Pink. It's chic and sophisticated, and doesn't make the room look gloomy the way gray might.

a deep brown might be nice, or a dark clouds just before a downpour grey. I would add some artwork that is a little bit lighter to have things not too dark. A bit of sparkle might work to lighten as well such as Maryam's black Morrocan wedding blanket:

I totally agree with Lisa (Montreal)- pink would be fantastic, and very sexy.
IMHO, he pink would be a real look, but it would sort of trump the unexpected beauty of the dark blue and black. If you want that particular beauty to be the real subject, I'd stick with a gray. (Wow, that Farrow & Ball "Blackened" sounds magical! I need to check it out---)
I definitely say stick with a charcoal gray color on the walls. Grab some paint samples and see what works best, but I think sticking in the gray family will keep that ultra sexy dark bedroom mood it seems like you are aiming for (and have achieved!).
