Q -Help! I have been hunting for dining room chairs, and I have fallen in love with this one I found on a designer’s blog. Unfortunately, the maker or even source of the photo was not mentioned. Does anyone know where I can find chairs like this, or who might make them? I hope to pair 2 of them with my 6 restored black Eames Molded Plywood Lounge Chairs. Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance; if anyone could lend the answer, I know it would be the readers of Apartment Therapy! -Alexandra
A - Who has ideas?

Ercol Bar Stool
This looks similar to the Victoria Ghost Sidechair by Philippe Starck but I've never seen it with an upholstered seat or back. However, maybe this is a start. The VGS is manufactured by Kartell.
The style looks like Louis XVI so I tried googling for it without much luck. Maybe e-mail the blogger in question and ask? If you find out, I hope you'll be willing to share, these would be perfect for me, too.
Anyone wanna bet it's 60's vintage?

The Ghost chair is made of plastic - This is clearly a painted metal-wireframe.
It sort of looks like a pimped banquest chair, except the bottom looks far too modern to be of an older style. I would email the designer that showed the pic.
Wow! That's a gorgeous chair. Before I realized it was wire, I thought it was a Ghost Chair (from Conran Shop, MOMA, etc.) with custom cushions. If you don't find the real thing, those might be a good second choice.
That looks a lot like the Varenne chair from Casamidy, which has been linked on AT in the past.

No, no I have seen that before...and possibly featured it on my blog. Let me do some research.

It's most certainly the Opera Side Chair from the Varenne line from Casamidy

Yeah, it's deffo Casamidy. Yeah, sorry I said "deffo."
Are you sure you want to use the Eames Lounge chairs around your dining table? They will be uncomfortably low for dining (otherwise extremely comfortable). I have the wooden Eames Dining chairs and even they have a lower than normal profile. Just some input.
They were my husband's grandparents, and came with a table that is a perfect fit- so maybe they are the dining chairs; however, it is important to determine whether the Casamidy chairs would be the proper height- I think the seat height is only 1 inch different. Though it is only fair to note that my hubby refers to them as 'Elf' chairs, like all the tiny furniture from the movie, Elf. He doesn't love them, but that's a fight he will never win...
Yeah, the above commenters are right, it is the Varenne from Cassidy covered in Hexagon House from David Hicks.
