Good Questions: Opium Bed Reproduction Resource?

I've been looking for a reproduction of a full size Chinese Bed (Opium bed or Lo-han bed)for over a year now. All I found is antique, do you know any store or website that carry REPRODUCTIONS?

Dear Kriya,

This is out of our range, unfortunately, but we did some checking around and found that antiques seem to flood this niche. Perhaps, because of this, there is no sense in manufacturing reproductions? What is your price range and why do you want a reproduction over an antique?

The bed in the photo is a nice example of a reproduction Chinese opium bed. Bed's are funny things in that, Chinese tend not to buy antique beds due to superstitions (namely that someone probably died in them and therefore the bed is probably haunted). Consequently antique canopy beds can be often cheaper then reproductions. The low opium beds however may or not follow this rule - sometimes reproductions can be had at a good price - other times decent antique ones are available.
