Hello, I love the Smeg line of kitchen appliances, but they are massively expensive + appear to only be available overseas. Have you found a similar line here in the U.S.? Thank, Elaine

Dear Elaine, Smeg ("for those in the know") is great for colorful retro fridges and other appliances, and yes, they are molto expensivo. A US-based alternative (Boulder, Colorado, to be exact) is Big Chill, which makes retro stoves and fridges. The fridges run about $2,700 a pop. There's also Canada's NorthStar Refrigerators, where the pastel 50's fridges go for about $3,313. Any other ideas or sources out there?
