Good Questions: Gingko Sofas?

I'm looking for a review of Gingko Home Furnishings which has a store on Ninth Street in SF. They apparently do custom couches (which is what I'm looking for). I'm interested in the "Studio" sofa - but generally would like to hear from anyone who ordered a sofa from them. If anyone can comment on the quality of their furniture and their service I would appreciate hearing from them!

We wrote up Gingko here. On that post, the store's received good ratings from readers. We've been impressed with the quality of their furniture when we've seen it in person in their stores, and also at last fall's Dwell on Design, but we don't have firsthand experience as buyers.

Can anyone help out Sadie?

i can't speak to Gingko unfortunately but I can speak to bayareasofas.com (lousy website) which also does custom couches. we've had ours now for 5 months (room and board looking number in ultrasuede) and get tons of compliments on it. most importantly, it's very well made, completely customized down to the feet and very comfortable. Quick turn around and very helpful owner/staff.
