Tanja writes to us all the way from Switzerland: I loved "Meg`s Kid-Friendly Vintage Chic Playroom" that you featured recently and have been on a search for the lovely wooden letters (READ) in her room - but to no avail, all I seem to be able to find are "flat" ones (sorry for my English, but I hope you understand what I mean...), instead of the classical three dimensional ones she has put up in her room. Any idea where I can find them in the US or Europe?

White Enamel Four-P...
Those letters are at Hobby Lobby, so if you have one near you......they are gold there, but I believe she said she used red spray paint....they were also on sale at the st. louis hobby lobby last week 50% off....
For a US source, visit www.signletters.com, and click on "where to buy" on the left hand side. This is a wholesale company that sells only to sign-making professionals, but you should be able to find an authorized vendor in your area. They offer a line of dimensional plastic letters in stock fonts and sizes. You can also inquire at your local sign shops to see if they have any dimensional letters from old signs that they would be willing to part with.
Here is an example of the letters you are after:

Since HobbyLobby does not sell over the internet, if you have any family or friends in the US you could have them try to get the letters for you -- although a further difficulty is that they tend not to be in big cities, and miss the west and east coasts.
What you could do though, is contact one of their stores directly, and see whether they would sell if over the phone to you and mail it to you. I've done things like that before.
Another ATer in Switzerland....
Hobby Lobby does sell online under the hame Crafts, Etc. I've ordered from them before with no problems. Here's a link to the letters:

See the comment above regarding how they were purchased in gold and painted red. Hope that helps!

Thanks everyone for their useful advice! It looks like the easiest way to go about this is by ordering at Hobby Lobby/Crafts Etc. and have friends bring them when they come to visit this spring.
