Working With Plaster Ornamentation?

Q: What goes here? I am renting a lovely apartment with my husband in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The walls have a lot of plaster garland (I think that's what it's called) which I think is charming, but what do I put on this bathroom wall? Something needs to go there, right? How do I embrace the plaster garland? I don't want to put up more froufiness, but defying it and putting up a something modern and stark seems weird too. The photo was taken via the medicine cabinet mirror, hence the line. Any advice? Sent by Amanda Editor: I love the idea of playing with the line of reflection — hanging half a painting/photo (in a "C" shaped "frame"!) right against the mirror. Who has suggestions for Amanda?
