Q: I've become obsessed with a shade of blue paint I've seen in a couple of Apartment Therapy House Tours (Lisa and Clay's Artsy and Calm Collaboration & Kelly Rae's Colorful Seattle Farmhouse. Any help identifying the brand and exact color would be much appreciated!

Editor: Though neither tour mentions specific paint color, Kelly Rae's Colorful Seattle Farmhouse did use Benjamin Moore brand paint. Who can suggest similar light blues for Liz?

Try blue mesa from Ralph Lauren. It looks almost exactly like this.
Also we tried many light blues and this one was the best.
Rather than buying a couple gallons of the same paint, I think you'll have better success trying samples of several similar shades. With the differences in lighting, photography, and monitors, what you see might be entirely different than how it looks in person. SW Tradewind and Sleepy Blue are a couple to consider. Good luck!
We painted our master bedroom and master bath a shade very close to this. The bathroom was a color called "Going Grey" by Olympic and the bedroom was one shade lighter but on the same little sample card. The paint looks great and is cheap and Low VOC (nearly no odor). We got it at Lowes.
Oh, and then we mixed the leftovers of those two paints and painted our office.
Its a bit bluer than the "going grey"
Anyone know the source of the artwork?
I have just painted my living room in Benjamin Moore HC-147 "Woodlawn Blue" and I love it! It's soft and fresh and acts like a bit of a chameleon - really pretty.
I used Dockside Haze by Valspar in my entry and it was really pretty!
We had a grayish blue color called Paris by Behr color matched in Yolo paint for our bedroom. We haven't painted yet, but I can't wait to get rid of the current non-restful yellow color.
I would also like to know the source of the artwork.
Benjamin Moore's Ocean Air is quite like this. Also a big decorator favorite, according to my BM store.
You'll never be able to perfectly match a paint color from a photo. Lighting in the photo will play many tricks on what the color, shades, tones and undertones might look like on your walls: the natural and artificial light in your room, along with things like ceiling height, floor color, furniture and accessories will all play a part in making colors look different.
The best you can do is print out the photo or send it to your Iphone and take it to a reputable paint dealer who has someone one staff that is a color expert. Then ask them. I would recommend Benjamin Moore paints for their blues. Get at least three samples to put on your wall first.
Trying to match colors directly from photos almost always leads to disappointment if you want an exact match. Although, if you are open minded it can lead to some wonderful surprises.
Another one to try would be Benjamin Moore's Smoke. It's not too blue and not too gray.
In the first room, I'm pretty sure those are indie music posters that you can buy at Insound.com.
Beautiful colors!
Yep, the yellow flower print is a Grizzly Bear poster.
Blue is a great color for the bedroom, calm and serene. Our "Subtle Blue" and "Mount Airy" are two light blue shades to try or if you are looking to be a bit more bold, why not give "Kimono' a shot? Or for something more subdued, a greyish blue "Going Grey" like @xsimpletunx recommended would work well.
Remember that Olympic paint is Zero VOC, low-odor and eco-preferred!
My living room is woodlawn blue by Ben Moore and I love it!

i second benjamin moore's woodlawn blue (but like others said, it depends on your lighting).
I used a paint color called "Enveloping Calm" and I am pretty sure it's by Dutch Boy. I love it.
I find that most pale blues are too "Baby Boy Room" unless they veer toward another color... gray, lavender, or green.
My favorite "to the green side" blue is Benjamin-Moore's "Exhale" (AF-515), shown here:

And even in the pics, you can see the blue-to-green range this color has in it.
I used BM's iceberg, which is a lighter blue but quite nice. In a sunny room it reads as more blue than the grey it appears on the swatch.
my favorite blue is edwardian gray from easy living. i've used it in the living room of my new home, and also in the living room of my previous home. the color is a beautiful soft blue that has a hint of gray. it is definately not "baby boy blue". i think blue can be beautiful anywhere in the home. especially if you're like me, and gravitate towards cooler tones.
I agree with patrick (the other one). Make sure you test colors first before painting the whole room. We painted our whole living room Blue Hydrangea from Benjamin-Moore and at first it looked great, but when it dried it looked like a baby boy's bedroom! Eeek! We ended up painting the room over with a lighter, almost grayer blue color (which I am failing to remember the name at the moment, maybe harbor fog?). The lighter color turned out much better. Most hardware stores (or a Lowes or Home Depot I'm sure) have the little samples for $3 or the tiny can for $7; I'd try a couple out and let it dry so you really know what you want. :)
I used Benjamin Moore's Silver Gray in an apartment in Colorado that had a lot of bright light (after finding that many other beautiful blues were too intense for the space) and it was a beautiful soft blue that was a joy to live with.
Benjamin Moore's Ocean Air is on my livingroom ceiling and it's quite similar, but perhaps more pale than the examples shown. A more saturated version would be Gossamer Blue.
Here are two examples of Gossamer Blue found on flickr:

Can you tell I'm currently obsessed with this colour?
I recently painted our bedroom Benjamin Moore's 'Beach Glass' and it is just the most peaceful color. It tends towards the grey.
The dark cityscape and the heart shaped print are both by Christopher Bettig.
I used Martha Stewart Vintage Map from Lowes. It's bright in the daytime, deeper at night, and changes from a blue blue to a gray blue to a green blue depending on the time of day and the weather. I love it!
PrettyKitty - do you have any photos online showing your ceiling? I'm about to get samples of Ocean and Gossamer for my LR and I'd love to see it in a real room.
I painted my condo with Benjamin Moore "Breath of Fresh Air." It is probably lighter than what you are looking for, but it's almost white with a touch of blue in it. The blue is pretty pure, not green at all. However, like everyone else says, the lighting makes a big difference: it appears almost white in locations below skylights, but at corners and at slanted walls, it appears baby blue, similar to the photos above. When judging a swatch of color, just remember that over a larger canvas, the color and tone will be more dramatic than what you see on a small piece of paper.
