zinc dresser from Restoration Hardware. But I'm wondering whether the finish would be difficult to maintain. How durable is zinc? And how should I care for it? Thanks! Sent by PhillyLass Editor: I used to work at a busy retail store with zinc countertops and they were easy to clean and developed a nice patina over time. Zinc is non-porous and used in kitchen countertops (it has similar properties to stainless steel), so I wouldn't worry about caring for it too much — especially if you aren't using it for food prep! You can check out this link for Caring for Zinc Countertops if you have more questions. Any one else have advice about zinc?
