Good Questions: Restaurant Supply Stores in Chicago?

Christopher is moving and he's looking to stock his new kitchen: "Dear AT, Is there a neighborhood in Chicago where one can find a bunch of restaurant supply stores open to the public, like on the Bowery in New York? I am relocating and need to fully stock a new kitchen with pots, pans, and the like." - Christopher We did a quick search and found a similar thread on Chowhound. The West Loop's Northwestern Cutlery (1810 W Lake Street) scored the highest marks. They have a wide selection of brands including All Clad, Le Creuset and Wusthof, and they've earned stellar reviews on Yelp. Another option that was mentioned is C & R Equipment Service (3601 S. Halsted), a short drive from Chinatown. They carry both big and small items, from ovens to woks. The central Chinatown neighborhood also has a number of smaller shops with pots, pans and dishes.
