I came across these photos from Adrienne LaBelle's website via Desire to Inspire, and I LOVE the headboard! I'm a photographer, and I'd love to be able to do that with one of my pictures.

Dear Samantha,
This beautiful headboard is literally glowing from behind. The image looks to be made of film that's mounted on a durable large-scale light-emitting surface, almost like a billboard. But that's about as far as we can go with our limited knowledge of how signage works! Can someone out there figure out the hack and the resources?

Thanks!
Try having the lightbox headboard made using led lights. This will allow the headboard to maintain a thinner profile (rather than the bulky look of a traditional lightbox) and should run cooler. You will have to compensate for the blue lean in the led's by color correcting the back face of the lightbox. Simply using color correcting gel should do the trick.
If you are a photographer, and would like to upload your own photo and make the headboard, then checkout Blue River Digital:

There are several options for achieving the effect you want. If you want something else thats not listed on the site, contact the company, they are usually pretty responsive.
