We wanted to use the Ikea Hemmes dresser in white in the room. The walls of the room are white and we have floorboards, no option of changing either, but we are going to get some wall decals to make the room more interesting.
Help! Any ideas would be much appreciated!

White and natural wood is a lovely look, very popular in Scandinavia.
I'd continue with the white, and get a white rug (we got a flokati for my daughter's nursery, and it has worked out great), white-framed artwork, white pegs... the look has been featured many places, but just can't put my finger on one at the moment.

I agree, I think the combination would look great. I have the Hemmers dresser, a white crib with a wood drawer, the pine trofast system from ikea and a wood-colored rocking chair and small side table that all look great together. Modern, but comfortable.
We did a white and natural look with a two tone crib, white dresser, white shelves, and natural side table. Our bedding and accessories are chocolate brown and white.

We have white malm dressers from IKEA and our crib is birch (plus the floor is light maple wood almost the same as the crib). Originally I planned to purchase a white crib thinking it would match the dressers, but since then I am very glad we didn't. The wood brings a warm, natural feeling to the room- too much white would have made it feel sterile (the trim paint in the room is also white). I purchased some picture frames in the same light wood so they tie in with the crib and floor.
I think mix and match makes for a more interesting, cozy space if done thoughtfully.

Thanks everyone for the comments and suggestions. Still haven't purchased the cot but much at ease doing the natural colored cot now. We did purchase the white Hemmes dresser and a Poang rocking chair with the birch colored frame and eggshell cushion yesterday to tie in the white and natural colors. The natural colored frames are a great idea! Am think also some baskets too. Guess another trip to Ikea...

I have that dresser in my daughters room and its nice but it big, too big IMO. BUt I do love the mix of wood tones.
I really love that dresser. I have the smaller 3 drawer version and love love it as a changing table. I think it is an awesome part of the nursery. I like the pine and white combo. I would add some richer colors to keep it from looking too early nineties if you know what i mean.
