Good Questions: Rolling Coffee Table/Seating Suggestions?

Hello AT,

I am trying to find a coffee table/bench on wheels, such as the Offi Bench Box.

It needs to be on wheels so that I can easily move it at night when I use the Murphy Bed. The idea of being able to use it as a bench as well is very appealing for when guests come over (The only other seating is an 86 sofa) and some dining chairs.

Are there any other products similar to this? I m afraid that the Offi, while being a very nice piece, does not quite go with my motif.

Thank you. Alvin

Dear Alvin, without knowing quite what your motif is, this is tough to answer. However, attaching wheels to almost any type of table is a relatively easy thing to do. Good hardware stores stock many different sizes of wheels and caster that can be attached by screw, nail and sometimes, glue.

As far as a table that doubles as seating, Offi's type of boxed design (which is strong enough to be a seat) is similarly done by West Elm and Ikea at much lower prices. Blu Dot also has a nice coffee table called the "Chicago" that rolls. And this coffee table by Eric Pfeiffer at Nova68 doesn't roll, but is very light and doubles as seating. What's your decor like???
