I have recently inherited a couch. The cushions are very firm and make it hard to get comfortable. Unfortunately, the cushions are not detachable. I've tried leaving heavy objects like bowling balls and weights on an attempt to soften the seats. What other ways you would recommend to put comfort in a couch?
Even though your cushions aren't detachable, do they have apparent zippers/openings for replacing the stuffing (we're guessing not)? But if so, we'd try getting a good upholsterer to make a house call (or measure up, buy the stuffing, and DIY). We restuffed our vintage cushions recently and it made all the difference in the world.
If that's not an option, we are stumped. Has anyone else had this dilemma? What was the answer (if bowling balls didn't quite do the trick)?
