Hi,
I've been in search of a dining room table and chairs. I'm looking for a dark brown/black table, with light colored chairs to go with it. I'm wondering what you think of these envelope dining chairs by cb2.
Do you happen to know if they're comfortable, and well made? Or do you know of maybe more local stores with similar chairs?
Thanks,
Nick

Nick,
Since cb2 is in Chicago, we also forwarded your question to AT:Chicago. We hope one of their readers has test-driven the chair.
But can anyone here help Nick out?

I own them. They are well made, have held up well, and are comfortable. Several people have commented on them and are very surprised when I tell them where I got them.
As for comfort--Not like I'd want to sit around all day in them, but for dinner, they are fine. They have no cushion, just leather stiched directly on the wood. I compare them to much more expensive Calligaris chairs, though I'm pretty sure these are veneer instead of solid wood (the catalog will say for sure). For the price, I'd rate them a solid A.
The CB2 chair looks like it was very much "inspired" by the Poliform Valentina chair.
Furniture is hard to judge by picture. If you think this might be the chair for you, you should order 1. If you like it, order the rest. If you don't, return it and you are only out the shipping charges for one chair. This process will only add about 2 weeks to getting dining chairs and it makes sure that a bargain doesn't turn into an expensive mistake.
