Hello AT,
I am thinking of buying a daybed from West Elm that will double as a comfortable couch and a twin bed.
Is there a simple and inexpensive way to build up the back with pillows that will actually be firm and comfy? I was looking at custom foam bolsters, but foam is pricey. I'd like to not spend a million dollars and have a million throw pillows flopping around!
Thanks, Griff

Hi Folks, this question is about the daybed being discussed here from West Elm: has anyone used their own standard mattress with the frame, or has everyone bought the mattress/futon from West Elm with the frame? Reason I ask: I have a twin mattress already. Was wondering if anyone who used their own standard twin found that it fit the frame or was "off a bit" or impossible to use? I haven't bought furniture from West Elm before and wonder what people who already own this piece have to say. Thanks!
Have found the discussion quite helpful in envisioning how the unit would work in my home: with a very large pillow at one end and maybe a couple smaller pillows of varying size in front of the big one. A lounge look.
Thanks for any responses. :-)
I just bought the same daybed from westelm and bought a memory foam mattress from overstock.com and it fits perfectly fine. Any twinsize mattress will fit.
