Hi AT,
We want to move our baby out of our room and into his own space -- thus putting an end to our months of sleeping in the living room. Unfortunately, his soon-to-be space has a skylight.
I was wondering if anyone has installed a skylight shade, and what company they recommend -- or do not recommend.
Ideally, I would have someone measure and install the thing. And, as an extra item on the wish list...a remote control up/down feature would be great. I just don't see getting out a pole and opening and closing them 5 times a day.
I've used Smith+Noble for regular shades before. They're ok, but kind of pricey. Has anyone used their installation service?
I know Hunter Douglas has both the install service and the remote up/down feature. It seems like they contract out to local window treatment stores, so I was also wondering if people had opinions about working with either National Blinds Cleaning & Window Coverings (on Brannan) or Blinds & Designs (on Polk).
Thanks in advance, Toria

Dear Toria:
Check out this article on the Eichler Network on atrium cover companies in Northern California. You may want to call Rollamatic or Royalite to see if they can help with a retractable residential skylight.
Anyone have direct experience with Toria's dilemma or with any of these companies?
