Hi AT,
I've looked high and low for a stainless steel kitchen table similar to the aluminum dwr kronos table.
Everything I've found is bar height ~34/35", instead of dining 29/30".
Any leads/ideas?
Thanks,
Kathy
Kathy,
We often see stainless steel tables for sale on Craigslist, or you could go the restaurant supply store route.
Blu Dot's Strut is another metal table we like -- although it doesn't look at all like the Kronos.
Anyone have other ideas?

There's a MUJI aluminum table of the right height -- I've seen it at MOMA. Sorry, don't have a link.
At work, we have these tables from IKEA (attached to different legs): http://www.ikea.com/fr/fr/catalog/products/S39843735
Sorry, don't have a link to the US site. Hope it's useful anyway.
if you find a bar-height table that you love, just have the legs cut down to whatever height you want. i can't imagine it'd be that expensive.
Try Room and Board:

Both come with a varety of material choices for top. I don't think stainless is an option (and frankly, I find our stainless countertop scratch, so I'd personally go with a different material for the top).
The frosted glass and quartz composites look very nice with stainless.

Rattus & S, thanks but I want stainless!
El Jinx, good lead but ikea doesn't sell online and none of the usa stores have it in stock.
Goodnightdean, wouldn't have a clue where/who/how to go about getting legs cut down to size... any more info on that?
I went ahead with the Kronos for now, a girl needs a kitchen table after all. It really is a nice table, but my heart's still set on stainless, not aluminum.
I'll find it eventually... and then it's off to craigslist for the Kronos.
Thanks, Kathy
if your heart is set on stainless, not aluminum, you might want to consider not buying the kronos table, as it made from one hundred percent anodized aluminum.
sorry. i re-read your question and i think you knew that the kronos was aluminum but wanted to avoid that if you could. in any event, i haven't seen a square stainless table on the market, so i'll keep my yap shut for now.
Try going straight to the source. I bought mine at abestkitchen.com but make sure to spring for the extra shipping because it's coming from ohio.
