Dear AT, I hope your readers will offer up some of their great advice as to how we should accessorize our apartment. We're not big on having lots of 'stuff' around but I'd like our place to feel more warm and welcoming. We rent so there's nothing we can do about the paint color. Any ideas? Thanks!
Bathroom: Yes, pink AND blue. We're so lucky!? We plan to paint the cabinet white with new pulls for the drawers. We also purchased an appliance paint kit in white for the counter top (there are lovely cigarette stains on it.) What should we put on the walls? Should I ditch the blue rug for something in a neutral/darker color?
Living Room: We're at a loss as to what to hang over the couch. Ideas? The area next to the TV needs something too.
Dining Area: We're planning to replace the small pendant with a barrel lamp shade. Good idea? Every weekend I tell myself I need to find something for the table but I'm just not sure what. The large vase in the corner was given to me by my grandma -- ditch it or find something to put in it? We're in the process of collecting menus from our "fancy" dinners. Should we hang them around the large canvas and add on? The menus we have now are hanging on the small wall to the left of the canvas.
Bedroom: Yawn. We have too many heavy pieces in here. We just purchased a seagrass-type headboard so I'm hoping this will lighten things up. What should we do for nightstands?
