How Do Outdoor Chalkboards Hold Up?

Q: There was a post last fall about an outdoor chalkboard...wondering if anyones knows how it held up through the season and over the winter? Does anyone have any suggestions before I whip out one of these for our patio? Thanks!

Ours has been up for two years. It is still working perfectly.

I let my son make chalk masterpieces directly on our wood fence. They wash right off with the hose.

@shabil same here. Masterpieces on the ground and wood fence. I also have them "paint" the fence with water.

Actual chalkboard looks cool, though.

There's one on the side of a local mom and pop ice cream shop. Looks like the place has been there forever and the chalkboard doesn't seem to be cracked or too weathered. Definitely a cute idea :)

Hi, that is my post and the chalkboard is in great condition even through the Colorado winter. We still love it.
