I have no idea where this is from, but I do love the look of this chair without upholstery! It's like a sculpture. Too bad you'll have to cover up the metal frame....

You might be able to do that yourself... If you still have the cushions, just make appropriate sized bolster covers, if not, measure the diameters and buy bolster foam of the appropriate size and cover them. Are the bolsters just slipped into the metal frame or do they cover it? If they just slip in, make the covers zipper-removable so that you can wash them easily. Velvet gathers a lot of dust.
Also be sure to choose a good non-stretch velvet intended for upholstery, not for clothing. Clothing velvets can be very expensive and are too light a weight to hold up for long, so no matter the price, make sure your fabric is appropriate for the amount of use.

I'd choose different colors of Ultrasuede for this...

i would make this an investment piece and upholster bolsters professionally with leather. i haven't seen anything like this before, and it could be a great funky thing for your room. for instant mid-century appeal i would try to find an already weathered and mildly cracked leather.

WOW! I want this soooooooo bad. I agree with Damnit- I would cover in leather (for me pure white).
