Laura sent in a good question: These counter stools are in the T-Mobile commercial where the girls are texting and teasing their dad about online dating. The stools are beautiful and I would love to know where they came from. I can’t imagine they’re truly vintage since they’re in a commercial, but I have no idea how commercial houses are furnished, so who knows! Please help me find my dream stools.

I’ve attached a picture I took of the TV screen. Not the clearest, but you can get a pretty good sense of the stools from it.
Can anyone help identify the stools for Laura? Let her know in the comments below...thanks!

"She thinks you're super delicious."
I know an Australian company produced these in the 60s. The company is called T.H Brown.
Here is a link with more information...

They really are probably vintage - you'd be amazed what you can find in a prop house.
I'm so glad someone else thought to ask about these stools. They would be perfect in my kitchen. Thanks for all the info about how to find them!
If you really want to know then call T Mobile's ad agency and ask to speak to the T Mobile creative director. He or she should be able to put you in touch with production company who shot the commercial. They would either have a record of the stools or put you in touch with the set designer. Set designers usually work free lance but they frequently work for the same production company. The creative director might also be willing to put you in touch with the agency art director or producer who may also have a record of the set furnishings. Good luck.
I don't know about the stools...but Plumeria beat me to the punch...everytime I here that little girl say "She thinks you're super delicious" I crack up to no end.
Good luck with the stools.
I think I had that plaid shirt circa 1976.
Hee Hee. I totally crack up at the "super delicious" line too. I also love the way the dad asks "what does she look like?"
Isn't that the commercial with the dad played by the INCREDIBLY creepy, killer detective from "Damages"? Every time I see that ad I want to tell those kids to run for their lives!
Don't know about Damages, but he's also Mel's husband on Flight of the Conchords and was the wussy managing editor of the Baltimore Sun in the last season of the Wire.
Yup. It's the same guy. He's in Damages, Flight of the Conchords and The Wire. David Costabile

i work at a mid century shop and we always rent to commercials. nice stuff, too! so i'd bet they are vintage. i second goltz girl. find a way to get in touch with the set dec. they should know more about them.
i, too, have wondered about these very stools. good eyes see alike. :)
They are TH Brown stools, you can often find them on ebay but i think they would be tricky to get anywhere other than Australia. Look on ebay.com.au I often see them there. they sell for a few hundred (AU) each.
