I use Trader Joe's too. It cleans great and has a nice lavender scent.

I just got Meyers Clean Day. Really like it.

I like Biokleen's laundry liquid detergent and their oxygen bleach. Using a combination of the two, and then adding a few drops of lavender essential oil to the rinse cycle, I find I don't even need a fabric softener, and I hang dry my laundry. For tougher stains, they have a stain/odor remover that can't be beat. I let it soak for overnight, but all tough stains are gone by that time.

I use BioKleen and I really like it.

I have used Ecos, which you can purchase at Costco, as well as Ecover which you can pick up at any Co-op or Natural Foods Store and been very happy with the results.

We use Seventh Generation. Its concentrated so there is less packaging per wash and comes in a lot of great scents!

I used Biokleen's liquid detergent for a while, but I didn't feel that it got DH's undershirts clean enough. I've switched back to Method and have been pleased so far.

I use Method, the white one with no scents, additives, etc. I use Meyers Clean Day dryer sheets - lavender.

I'm a big fan of those OxiClean Toss 'n Go balls, but sadly they've been discontinued. If you can find them, they are worth checking out.
What I like most about them is that clothes come out of the washer smelling like...nothing. Not only do they not smell dirty, they also don't smell like Wild Summer Bouquet or Meadows and Rain or Soft Ocean Mist. They just smell clean.

Seventh Generation is working for me and I do like that its cardboard box and not plactic. I have used Ecos and I hoping my co-op will start carry it by the bulk so I can refill the bottle because I do love the clean smell.

I like Seventh Generation. They were making detergent way before the trend so i am loyal to them.

I've tried a few and say I'm happiest with Ecover and have been using it for a looong time. It does a good job, is gentle on clothing, and leaves behind a lovely, subtle scent. It's also relatively affordable. I also use baking soda and Oxo Brite for my whites.

i use seventh generation free and clear. i have also used ecover (i use their fabric softener regularly), trader joe's, and method, but i really like seventh generation.

Dr Bonners - 1 capful (smaller than a tsp) cleans an entire load! Available in many natural scents. The lavender and the peppermint are wonderful. Plus they can be used to clean your whole house too! One stop shop - organic and all natural.

Love my Charlie's Soap. Cleans everything even in cold water and no fabric softener needed. I bought a 3lb bag more than 3 months ago and I'm not halfway through it yet.

Right now, I'm using Wintree's eco-friendly liquid detergent, which has a light lavender scent. I bought a HUGE bottle at Costco for around $8. Last time I was at Costco I noticed that they had stopped stocking the Wintree and replaced it with a very similar eco-friendly product under their Kirkland Signature brand. Also lavender-scented, also around $8 for a container that looks like it will last a year.

We're big fans of the Method detergent without scent; the one in the white bottle. Not only does it clean well, but you use so little of it that the bottle really DOES last 64 loads.

I'm currenly using Dropps (www.dropps.com)- they come in slightly scented and unscented - and I have nothing bad to say about them. They use minimal packaging, appear to be eco-friendly and leave my clothes clean and either slightly -or not -scented.

i haven't tried any other brand, but i use Method and i like it. the main reason i bought it is that they don't test on animals.

I'm surprised nobody here makes their own! It is incredibly cheap, and it works! We use the recipe here.

I oscillate between method and Seventh Generation - I think the 7th Gen is more effective, but the method is cheaper...

I go between Mrs. Meyers and Charlie's Soap. Best laundry I've ever done -- no static cling, extremely clean, soft results. Tried the Ecover fab softener for my flannel sheets (the only time I use it) and was really impressed.
