Good Questions: Where Can I Find This Crib?

Pin it button big

A frustrated Victoria asks... I am expecting my first baby this September and fell in love with this "Bebeform natural Safari Crib" years before I was family planning!

I didn't even consider any other option when I conceived, but to my dismay, this line of furniture has recently been discontinued in the US and all retailers I've located no longer have any left in stock despite their web sites claiming otherwise.

As is my nature, I have managed to find and fall in love with the one item that is not available ANYWHERE! This happens to me constantly! All my searches for an alternate crib solution have proved futile as I've really had my heart (and nursery design) set on this crib. Also, I have incredibly picky and weird taste that's not fully modern, but not really traditional either. So I really dislike all the other cribs currently on the market (I know, I may be the only one on this blog completely uninspired by the Stokke or the Oeuf)! This one is just the perfect blend of modern/traditional/original for my taste. I'm even willing to dish out the hefty price tag of ~$800 as this is the only piece of furniture I need to buy for my baby.

I've already tried e-mailing the manufacturer directly, but have not received any response. Likewise, I've called an e-mailed almost every other distributor I've found, but to no avail. If anyone out there can suggest a source, perhaps a European distributor willing to ship to the US, I would be much obliged!!!

Thank you in advance for your help,
Victoria

P.S: I have been reading this blog religiously since I got pregnant and have found it to be a fantastic source of information and inspiration! Thank you for that as well!

Dear Victoria:

We've looked as well, and it seems perhaps the BebeForm crib has been discontinued by the manufacturer. However, we did find an ebay seller that lists your crib for a Buy It Now price of $780 with shipping of $120. A note says it will be available in May, and since it's June, hopefully it's available.

Anyone else?
