A good question from Nicole: Dear AT:SF, Help!! I'm in the middle of redecorating my studio apartment in a sort of updated mid-century modern style, but I've gotten to the living room area and I'm stuck! Obviously the coffee table has to go, but the big question for me right now is TV storage....

The existing cabinet is going to be replaced, but I don't know what with. At first I was thinking about some sort of not-quite-waist-high teak MCM styled dresser or narrow cabinet, but I'm worried that putting too much wood in that area will make it look like a Shag painting.

However, anything I can think of other than that looks too modern for the space. I hate the way exposed televisions look, but getting rid of it isn't an option and I feel like an armoire large enough to hide it would call even more attention to that corner than the TV. I'm hoping you'll have some ideas, because I'm fresh out.

PS: Sorry about the lack of curtains - those are being remodeled too. :)

Please share your ideas with Nicole in the comments...thanks!
