Adrienne sent in a good question: I recently moved into a newly-built condo in Berkeley. Most of the rooms have soft light and high ceilings, but this guest bathroom is small and windowless. It has that soulless-new-construction feel and lacks charm. How can I personalize the bathroom and make it feel more like the rest of my home?

I feel like just hanging paintings/posters would be inadequate, and I'm not sure a coat of paint will solve the problem either (but maybe it will?). I'm not a huge fan of the sink (I'd prefer something dainty and porcelain) but everything is new, so it would be silly to replace it.

Please share your suggestions, advice and ideas with Adrienne in the comments below...thanks!
