The tile looks like 3/4" marble. I found something similar in a range of browns at Tile Outlet in Chicago - I'd imaging a large tile shop in SF would have something similar.

You could 'build' a reasonable facsimile of that sink yourself, for likely well under $750 total, including having standard plumbing parts chromed at a metal plating shop (look in the Yellow Pages). A few of the pieces aren't standard parts, like the ball feet, and you may have difficulty recreating those so it would not be an exact copy but a reasonable facsimile. The marble isn't a large piece, you could likely score a piece of leftover marble for a song at any one of the local granite/marble businesses (half a dozen in the towns surrounding SFO), and pay them to cut it to fit the undermount sink you choose. If you bargain hunt, and that includes big box stores and eBay & Craiglist & plumbing supply shops, you can find the sink for under $40 and the faucet for under $75.

Yep, the tile is 3/4" marble mosaic, maybe carrera? Carrera seems to be what the counter is made out of.

Ebay frequently has sink legs. Search "sink legs" or "console sink". You can have a local marble yard cut a piece of marble and install an undermount sink. My local Lowes offers marble slabs with the sink already undermount.

I found some similar things by searching google products with "sink console chrome".

It also looks like a lot of places sell similar console bases on their own, and you could find a sink separately.

Last time I went up to the Restoration Hardware Outlet in Vacaville , there were a bunch of sinks there marked wayyy down. Might have a couple nicks though and no guarantee on what you'll find there.

If you don't want to pay for marble tile you can get a similar pattern and color in a mosaic glass tile.

Thanks everybody for the thoughtful and useful responses. I definitely wasn't being imaginative enough with my Google search terms!

Italics seems like a great resource and so I'm hoping they can help me with the unusual coloring - the tile almost has a metal sheen to it that makes it so unique, and while clearly a neutral, to me seems to have a bit of life.

As for piecing together my own sink, that is a GREAT idea, particularly since I have some carrera marble leftover from the kitchen counters. Great way to use it up.

I'm a bit late on this, but you can purchase the base by itself from Restoration Hardware. The bases come with the sink, so all you'd have to supply is your own faucet and the marble, which you said you already have. You just would need to pay someone to fabricate the stone. It would be under $1300 all in, including the cost of the stand.

I am also late on this, but I think the tile might be from Walker Zanger, which has local stores in the Bay Area (Hayward has two showrooms).

We built our own sink like this back in the days when there was no Restoration Hardware... (circa 1991)

We used vintage plumbing parts -- for the base, taps, water supply, drain etc., and just had a piece of marble cut to measure (don't forget the edge detailing, as supporting the marble underneath is plywood), and bought an undermount sink. Easy peasy.

We found the plumbing parts really easy to find -- we happened to be working with restorers of vintage plumbing parts at the time; I am sure that there are several in SF (look for architectural salvage places too).

We loved ours -- found it was more graceful and less shiny-new than the store-bought versions, and so loved it much better (and no fake-old taps -- use restored vintage taps - makes all the difference!)

Oh, as for the wall, it looks like a faux plaster finish -- looks something like Ralph Lauren's Suede (which I'm not sure is a good finish for a bathroom!)

As for the mosaics, they could be stone or glass -- there are oodles of options. Why not contact Restoration Hardware and ask?

Regarding the sink, if you're in SF, go down to Building Resources off of 3rd St. and you could probably find a lot of the pieces. They have a bunch of vintage sink basins and slabs of marble for low cost. You could have someone handy build you something similar with a lot of character!
