Christine is looking for some info. She writes: Please forgive me if this question is a complete long shot...Last year I was visiting San Francisco with friends and I remember walking by a restaurant with the most beautiful tile work out on the sidewalk. It was the evening and it also had incredible ambient lighting. Very warm and inviting. Well, my husband and I are doing some work on our kitchen and bath and I am wanting to draw some inspiration from this beautiful restaurant but I don't have a picture of it to show anyone for reference....

We were in the area of Columbus Ave, walking (albeit semi-lost) towards the piers. It was likely an Italian restaurant. The entire place was simply stunning and oh so inviting. I wanted to move in and make my bed behind the bar. I'm hoping to find a name of the restaurant and perhaps be able to locate their website or some pictures on Flickr. I kick myself for not having my camera with me.
Can anyone help Christine out with some likely suggestions? Please let her know in the comments below....

Um, gee, an Italian restaurant on Columbus Ave.... can you maybe give another hint? Maybe try narrowing it down by using the street view of Google Maps.
I understand your love though as I am obsessed with a restaurant's tile on Valencia Street but I'm lucky that it's in my hometown.
