I've never been a "girly-girl" when it comes to decor but I would love to try a chandelier in the bedroom. I think it would be a nice contrast to the more masculine esthetic I have planned. However, I am not up for installation and wiring. (scary!!) Any suggestions on a lamp with a chandelier look? I was thinking of putting it at the side of the bed or behind a club chair in a reading nook.

Any chandelier can be rewired with a long wire to go up to a hook in your ceiling and then down to a plug on your wall, so you should just find something you like and take care of the rewiring afterwards if you need to.

A great resource for this kind of help and also a place where you can find some simple cord mounted chandeliers, you should take a look at a store like Lighting Plus. They are very affordable and can help you get things done.
