I am in the market for wallpaper for my master bedroom and baby's room. I looked through your products link and saw the Cole & Son link and became extremely excited about the choices offered. However, upon calling Lee Jofa at the Merchandise Mart, I learned that they only deal with the trade. Any other recommendations for obtaining Cole & Son or similar type/style wallpaper for non-trade people? Thanks!
Pam

Dear Pam,
We found a slew of links to English-inspired wallpaper sites at Historic Wallpaper Resources, including those flocked papers pictured above from interior1900.
As for obtaining Cole & Son specifically, we're not sure where else to look. Any readers know? Otherwise, the links at Historic Wallpaper Resources online will give you more similar type/styles to Cole & Son than you might know what to do with. We also found a great list of links at Design Addict. Let us know if you find what you're hoping for. Good luck!

Be prepared to pay for Cole & Son is right! I priced out my 9' x 14' wall at $800. That's right, $800 for ONE wall! Yikes! I ended up ordering a similar damask pattern from a Canadian manufacturer for 1/4 of the price from the J.C. Licht store at 19 S Morgan. They give 25% of the MSRP, which definitely helps.
someone here (on another post) reccomended farrow and ball. I ordered samples from them, and am going to be using the vermicelli :D
fermliving us has some nice ones! i papered my bathroom with the blue peacock feathers and it looks great
I ordered Cole & Sons "Woods" from Sanderson Interiors in the UK. The shipment was fast, and cost dramatically lower than purchasing it here in the US, even with duty and shipping.
I did a 10x10 wall with 2 rolls. The lesson to be learned is that if you have a large pattern with a large repeat, you will have alot of scrap trying to match up the pattern. I think I had about a 10-15% loss, when doing my wall, so buy extra if you think you might be cutting it close.
I'm going to be uploading my wallpaper AFTER shot tonight, to the AT cure group on Flickr if you want a peek!
ugh, ive been looking for the perfect wallpaper for nearly 3 months :(
Hi. eBay has a lot of Cole & Sons wallpapers (most printed for Clarence House) and borders right now at very good price. I have dealt with oldhouseinteriors.net and found them helpful and reliable. they have an ebay store at

not all of them say Cole and sons, but the descriptions will sometimes tell you or you can ask. Hope this helps.
A great wallpaper resource is www.designyourwall.com. They have many different types of wallcoverings.
I actually really like some of the ones at Ballard. It's a given that some are over-the-top, but if you pick through there are also some gems!
