Hi AT! I was looking at the S and S's Live/Work Bungalow house tour and I would love to know where they purchased the bookshelf in the dining room. Any information you can give me would be wonderful! Thank you, Natalia

Our homeowner apologizes but she doesn't have any information on the dining room bookshelf from her house tour, S and S's Live/Work Bungalow. Could be a nice project for an industrious DIYer. Does anyone recongize this piece or know of something similar?

That looks like it came from Smart Furniture (smartfurniture.com) I have the same thing in black, but larger. What's great about these is the assembly: no nails or hardware - the pieces slot together and are very sturdy. You can create your own custom case online and they'll ship you the parts. I find it accommodates most books, but not oversized ones.
The LAX series bookcase is very similar, with slightly cleaner lines and made from solid english walnut. see it here:

I can't tell whether it's wall-mounted or not, but if it is it might be the Hungarian Shelves on Instructables which are an inexpensive solution if you're feeling DIY.
