Good Questions: A Good Guest Bed/Pull-out Couch?

Hello AT,

I'm looking for a reasonably priced, elegant, convertible guest bed. Something with clean lines and a modern flair, not the typical dumpy, velour covered loveseat/convertible that leaves you with a bar in your back all night.

Also, not a slouchy college futon. I just don't have enough space to sacrifice an entire room to a big queen size bed that only occasionally gets slept on.

I'm open to unconventional solutions. I checked out the FuChest but I just don't like any of the exteriors very much...plus they only go as big as a double.
How have you guys solved this dilemma?

Hey Alicia- Well, it's a hard order to find a good queen size pull-out without the space to hold 7 feet worth of sofa (that's what the couch needs to house the queen size mechanism) The Fu-Chest is funny, although we wonder about its comfort factor. Have you thought about a murphy bed? with so many people making higher end versions, it might just be your solution. AT has a few options HERE.
