I'm not really a fan of faux wood floors, but I'm pretty impressed by the ones Wal Mart has starting putting in their clothing sections. I'm positive it's not hardwood. I don't even think it's laminate. It's flush with the tile so, it's the same depth. It's tough too. I scratched it with a key...didn't even put a dent in it. Can you tell me who manufactures this and where I can get some?

I haven't seen the Wal*Mart floors live in person, but they might be these Novalis "planks", available at Lowe's: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productList&N=0&Ntk=i_products&Ntt=Novalis
Natural Oak or Golden Oak.
Of course, color reproductions will never match actual.
Amtico makes a great product. I'm not a fan of faux wood either but used it in the crew area of yacht and it turned out beautifully.

You hit the nail on the head. I did a little web research and I do believe that is what is in the Wal Mart stores. The sad thing is, it only comes in two colors. Well, it's the golden oak that I like anyway. Thanks.
I saw a similar product used beautifully on one of those cable DIY shows last week. Sorry I can't remember the show, but it was about a blonde woman in her early 30's who'd just bought a townhouse with a two-story high entrance that was dull. They replaced the front door, painted the walls from a plain blue-gray to a lovely yellow, gave depth to the high tray ceiling with a lovely silvery painted square, nailed squares and rhomboids made from Home Depot wood trim to the yellow walls and painted the same color. The floor was this laminate that they cut with scissors and glued down, just like vinyl floor covering. It looked lovely.

Marilyn, it was DIY to the Rescue, on the DIY channel. I saw the same laminate and I thought it was cool.
There is a great pale blue fake wood flooring with an oversize grain at the Todd Oldham store in Soho. I'd really like to know where to get that.

Yeah, I can just picture the look on her face and the face of the Walmart employee, had she gotten caught attempting to scratch their floor. Hee hee...
I like the Karndean vinyl. It seems like a great choice for a kitchen. I received some samples and it's highly scratch-resistant.
It's not cheap, though.
