Hello AT,
I know that it is December, but I saw this beautiful hammock in the islands this fall and wanted to find one as a gift for a friend. We looked all over the hammock and couldn't find a namebrand of any kind. What distinguishes it is that it is entirely and beautifully woven, with even the wall loop attachment woven as well.
We would love some leads! Thanks, Banana Bum Bum

Could it be handmade? Many hammocks are.
I seen them abundantly in Brazil when i was there earlier this year but unfortunately i have no idea where you can get them here.
Yep, I second "...". I used to buy these in Brazil as wedding presents for friends. They're sold everywhere there, very affordable, colorful (or neutral) and lovely. And entirely handmade, so there wouldn't be any label. If you google "Brazil hammocks," maybe you'll find something. Surely someone's importing them. If you're in NYC, you can ask around at some of the shops in Little Brazil (46th street and fifth, I think).
Here's what I came up with googling...

If you're in NY, there's a store on West Broadway between Broome & Grand Streets that sells these. FYI - They are several hundred dollars
Looks Moroccan to me. Something about the fringe.
hi, sorry about my english but brazilian hammocks don't have wooden bars.
These were everywhere when I used to live in Central America. Check out any kind of free-trade/artisan store and I bet they could help you out. They are most definitely hand-made. Good luck, they are very comfortable!
Looks very similar to this one.
Amsterdam has a great shop dedicated just to hammocks.
Link is at my name...
I had a hammock search going a bit back and found (and decided on) this hammock. If you check ebay and browse through you should be able to get it for less than 100.
You can find these kind of hammocks here in Brazil. I´m brazilian and live in São Paulo, and this hammocks can be found in any state here, but the most beautiful ones are those made in Northeast states...There must be some websites that can import or some stores in brazilian neighborhood in NY where you can find these pieces. There is no any label because they are handmade, in most cases the art of made a hammock is taught in a family, generation to generation.
I hope I could help you :) Sorry about my english :)
