Ivana needs some ideas:
Hello AT, I've just moved to my new studio apartment last month and was hooked with your website. I need suggestions on how to decorate my studio because this is the first time ever I'm living by myself. I am also contemplating whether I should try to partition my bed from the rest of the apartment. My worries are that the room may look too small if I partition it, and that anyway I don't really have a lot of friends coming over anyway. I also like to keep the space open because I have a dog who spends most of the day at home.
I'm definitely going to hang some pictures around my bed but just have not had the time to paint a painting myself. Any suggestion on colors/ easy partitioning/ what furniture to put where/ what furniture I should get?

Hi Ivana- Congratulations on your new found living independence! Looks like you have a fun project on your hand! We agree that it would be a good idea to "partition" the bed area, but that doesn't necessarily mean blocking the view to the rest of the space. Simply just to "define" the area. We love that you put the bookcase by the door. It's a great way to create an "entryway" and blocks the immediate view of your bed. You might even consider getting a taller and longer bookcase for the entry, and perhaps re-positioning the bed the other direction, so that your headboard (we might suggest getting one of those too!) is against the wall that your couch is currently on.) Does any one have other suggestions for Ivana? Let her know your ideas in the comments!
