I have been involved in an obsessive search for a powerful yet affordable hand-held shower head for much too long now. I need advice. Some people tell me that the shower head has no effect on water pressure. But I have had different experiences in the past with shower heads. All I want is a good hand held shower head with strong pressure...

I am looking at something like this Pollenex Porcelain Hand held shower head. Do you have any experience with this? Also, can you answer the question, does the shower head have anything to do with the pressure coming out of it?

We're not hand-held shower people, but shower pressure definitely has to do with both your water pressure and your shower head. The water pressure gives you a great start and the shower head improves on it OR can make a weaker pressure a bit more juicy. The head, however, can't make more water come out, it can only make a smaller stream with more pressure.

But, to your point, what's the best hand held shower? For this we turn to those in the crowd who know...
