Hello AT,

I have a wonderful view of Old City in Philadelphia. One thing ruins it - my windows! Does anyone know of something I do to clean the outside of them? I live on the 8th floor and don't think it would be wise to hang out with a squeegie and clean them.

Thanks! Walter

Dear Walter,

We HAVE leaned out of many a window and cleaned it with newspaper, vinegar windex and paper towels; it's not easy, but with the right long handled tools, it can be done.

but perhaps your windows are more awkward to get to on the outside.

We would FIRST check out what other folks in your building do, see if there is a window cleaning service in your area that will do it (VERY VERY much worth the money) and/or you could check out those window cleaning kits that use some kind of magnet through the glass to allow you to clean the outside from the inside.

Here's a link.

Anyone else?
