I was wondering if one of your wonderful readers could help me find a similar and affordable lamp that looks like the Haley table lamp from Crate and Barrel. I'm looking for that high-gloss metallic finish as well. If not a similar lamp, then maybe a how to re-create the look? Please help me! I didn't think it would be this hard...

Lamps Plus is always having sales...
Check out "mercury glass" on ebay. You might be able to score a cheap piece that could be converted to a lamp.
Different scale, but nice, and on sale:

Here's one on eBay for $25, but you'd need to replace the hideous shade

You could also, if you wanted to go the Ikea route (I know, I know) you could grab a lamp from there that is similar in shape and spray paint the base in a silver. DIY the lamp! :)

They have a chrome base lamp:

This Silver Ball Lamp could work, and you can always request a more neutral shade.
Ditto for painting it in silver on this:

Krylon makes a terrific mirror paint that is designed to be sprayed on the inside of clear glass--and it looks amazing. You'd never guess that it's spray paint! So you could take any inexpensive clear glass lamp and make it look just like this.

I saw a shiny lamp at EQ3 a while ago.
KRYLON!
I just saw something like that on clearance at Target yesterday. Can't find it on the site though...
I saw the lamps that at Target that Linnealoves mentioned. They are marked down to $29. They do look pretty similar to these.
I think this is the EQ3 lamp mentioned above:
