Hello AT,
Saw this multifunctional lamp online that could solve both a lighting and night stand problem on the narrow side of my bed.
Has anyone seen anything like this before or can vouch for the quality of Adesso lighting?
Thanks, EJF

This one is similar, and I like it a bit more: http://mgbwphiladelphia.com/nikofloorlamp.html. Plus, it's on sale.
Sorry, not sure if that link worked. It's the Niko Floor Lamp from Mitchell Gold and Bob Williams, on sale for $250 from $449, at the Philly store.
Delete the period at the end of the URL and it works. Cute lamp.
I wonder where the cord is? Will you need the light to read in bed?
about a month ago i bought the adesso 3155 architect desk lamp from target. (i'd link to it, but now i can't find it on target's site - argh!). i paid $50 shipping. i'm very happy with it. it's solid, well put together and looks great.
Can't go wrong with mgbw and I love sales! But I also like the multi-shelf idea.... The only thing is that I'd have to turn it sideways (only have about 16" between the bed and the wall). The square one would be okay but the wider one may look weird. Good question, Kurt. Here's one with a separate reading lamp. What do you all think of this one?
Whoops- sorry. Here's the link.

I was actually looking at those lamps the other day. Found the wide one on sale for $162 here: http://www.csnlighting.com/Adesso-5005-22-AE1164.html
I've never ordered from them so I can't vouch - but that's certainly the cheapest price I've seen.
Oops - I meant to add that we already have an Adesso "Wright" floor lamp and we like it a lot. Ordered it from Target.com about a year ago.
About a year ago I bought this from Target online. I can't remember what I paid for shipping but for around $250 I have no complaints. The botton piece is weighted down by some sort of heavy rubber/charcoal substance which is nice for added stability. The only negative was that the rubber/charcoal weight left an odor for about 10 days. The cord runs off the back left hand side and if you get creative with double sided tape then you'll never have to look at it.
The way you describe your space and having to put the lamp sideways, I think it will feel crowded. I'd go for swing arm wall sconces instead, and a very small side table, or even one that attaches to the wall.
Another great place to look would be www.Lightingtheweb.com they have a lot of things like this.
