Hi AT,
I'm looking for a contemporary wood burning stove. It seems that most manufacturers are convinced that a wood burning stove should look like it belongs in a Colorado miners cabin circa 1880.
What I would really like is a wood burning stove that will act as a room divider, with glass doors on both sides of the unit in order to provide ambiance in both directions.

I've found 2 companies thus far that offer a unique alternative (this one and this one), but beyond these 2 I'm getting nowhere. (European fireplaces shouldn't count unless you can provide a link to purchasing them in the USA!)
Thanks,
Benjamin
Anyone?

I recently went on a holiday house tour and one had a two sided fireplace with gas logs. One side was in their living room and the other on an outside deck.
My grandpa has a Biofire that keeps his house nice and toasty. His is tiled. But it looks like you could create a variety of looks depending on what you wanted.
Check out Rais stoves. Finnish design and quality - really do the job at heating and go great with modern interiors. I love the one that rotates.
