I have a color problem. I am moving to a mid-century house (ok, really it's a post war bungalow) from my apartment. Now that I will have my own place, I can actually paint my walls! My microfiber couches are a very cool color of gold with a hint of green...

It is very similar to Glidden Paint's 2006 Color of the Year, Golden Kiwi. With such an interesting color of couch, what color should I go with for my walls? I also will be recovering this mid-century chair, to coordinate with my couch, but again, I am a color and pattern novice. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
We love both pieces of furniture and also like the crazy blue chair. We'd keep it (if it's in good condition). MidC style is a bit funky and mixes of cool and warm colors like this work nicely.
If you want to make it a bit more contemporary, we'd take a look at Deborah Needleman's apartment in New York Magazine. She has a nice vintagey feeling which is also very contemporary. Warm greys and beiges are the key here.
Specifically, for your walls, we would look at Benjamin Moore's Off White collection:
Cedar Key OC16 (a fave)
Fog Mist OC31
Balboa Mist OC27
You could also look at Siberian Snowflake which was featured in this post:
