Hello AT,
HGTV is coming to shoot my house and yard in a couple of weeks and I'm freaking out trying to make everything look fabulous... Do they make charcoal grills in any color other than black? I realize I'm being
very particular, so that's why I came here to ask.
Thanks for any help you can give! Bridget in Toledo

Yes, green. An outdoorsy dark green. I had one.
I saw one on Crate & Barrel in a glossy dove grey here

You can't go wrong with stainless, and the creme de la creme of stainless charcoal-only grills is the Bar-b-Chef: http://www.bbqgalore.com/charcoal//175677. Pricey, but a great grill with a great look. I have the black one, which is equally as good, just black.
My grill has a red lid and an easy-light system that makes it easy to use with real wood charcoal, I've been very happy with it. It's called the Oyster Ceram, you can get it here: http://www.gourmetgrills.net/
Previously Crate & Barrel had a chartreuse-green version of that same Weber grill that I thought was MUCH nicer than the gray one they have now :-(.
I like red for the old skool Weber type.
Hi Temp Spray Paint is your friend, make it whatever color you want! :)
my old skool Weber charcoal kettle is a deep deep blue
I have this stainless steel kettle grill from Arctic.

What show will your house be on?
Thanks, everyone! We're going to be on HGTV's "What You Get for the Money". We have a 1700 sq foot house we bought for $100K, and we're still renovating it. :)
wow, does that high-temp spray paint really work? I fried some of the the enamel on top of my grill the first time I used it, the company did say they would replace the lid if I sent it back to them but I let it slide too long and now it is too late :-(.
Are you in Toledo, Ohio? Me too! I have a vintage 1960's Weber kettle grill that I inherited from my grandmother. It is kind of an avocado green color, in perfect condition. It's not for sale, but maybe you could borrow it. Lemme know.
I used to have a bright yellow grill ... I think it was a weber. This was about 5 or 6 years ago, though, so I don't know if they're still made.
Check the "Oyster" on this website I have it and love it. You light a fire in the chimney which gets the coals going super-fast. Then when you are done the hot coals are released into the water reservoir in the bottom. Very slick.
