Apartment Therapy DC reader Emily needs advice on solar water fountains:
"Does anyone have experience with solar fountains? I don't have any electricity on my condo's back patio, which has nice landscaping around it and good privacy, but a bit of traffic noise from the road nearby. I'm thinking of getting a solar fountain to mask the noise somewhat, but I wanted to know other's experience with them. My condo assn does landscaping of trees and bushes nearby so sometimes debris gets on my patio which may get into the fountain, so I'm wondering how easily they might get clogged."

Some good resources to get you started. From what I understand, the more affordable solar powered fountains may not be very loud, but you may be able to figure something out!
