Hello AT,

I've been thinking about painting our all white bathroom (with ugly green floor) for a while. We rent, so all we can change is paint. I was actually thinking a chocolate brown impact wall along the left side where all the photos are. Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions? I want something high impact...

Dear Tori,

We think that your idea about chocolate could work very well. We'd also say that you should paint the other walls with a softer offwhite and leave the trim the brighter white. You definitely want to kill the shine on that cheap rental paint job. And with a bathroom that's sizable and has a window as yours does, you don't need to use a high gloss paint for humidity. A semigloss or even eggshell finish will do fine and it will help hide any inconsistencies in the surface of your walls.
