Dear Apartment Therapy, I love these bedside balance arm lamps with their globe shades and have been looking for them all over. Can anyone tell me who sells/manufacturers these lamps or something similar. Any suggestions welcome! -Samantha

Where is the photo from?
What a coincidence, I've been eyeing this same exact picture and have been trying to look for a bed similar to the one depicted above. Anyone know what type of bed that is?
They are vintage. I have a couple laying around that I got from ebay. You can usually find a few on there if you look around.
Those are really groovy.
I love the brass finish!
they almost kind of look like a version of a vintage Robert Sonneman lamp...
They're not the ones pictured but Pottery Barn has some brass ones on sale:

It's hard to be sure without seeing the bed's legs, but the proportion of the upholstered headboard and the side pieces make me think it might be Room & Board's Ella bed.
Wow! Just read the above comments- what a kind group of people responded, and included links too! Davester, if I am ever looking for anything, I am especially asking you! It was very nice to read such positive responses, and I'm not even looking for a lamp!
The picture is of the master bedroom in Christine Lemieux's New York City loft (she is the founder of Dwell bedding and linens for the home).
Can't remember who makes the bed; I suspect that it is custom (definitely not Pottery Barn though). It is a very simply design, and is easily copied.
And of course, the bedding is by Dwell.
Thanks for the suggestion, pammyfay.
p.s. the loft was featured in an issue of Domino this past year -- if you can get your hands on it, you will have as much sourcing info as is available.
On the lamps....they are most likely mid sixties by Robert Sonneman. I have had these and the floor versions in my shop before. Very nice quality too. Search the net for this name and who knows? Good luck!
Here is an ebay version:

Another ebay, link very similar is

I had the three-arm floor lamp version of those table lamps. I got it at an auction. It wasn't marked in any way but Sonneman sounds like a likely manufacturer.

Here ya go. If you don't want to wall-mount, there is also a floor version.
nice suggestion, bigfun... those are cool
jackson - what ebay search terms did you use to find yours? that would be super helpful!
These type of 'eyeball' lamps originally are 60ish Lightolier lamps, but Robert Sonneman made similar ones a bit later.
Sometimes you can find the chrome, or white versions on Ebay.....usually for 100 bucks, since they're pretty hot now.
In Chicago, I've seen quite a few at local antique shops.
